# Cancellation and Refund Policy

At **Chandigarh Life**, operated by Sogrow Ventures Private Limited, we provide 
a platform for event organizers to list and sell tickets. All cancellations and 
refund policies are managed by the respective event organizers, and Chandigarh Life
does not process refunds directly. This policy outlines general guidelines for cancellations
and refunds.

## 1. Cancellation Policy

### 1.1 Event Cancellation by Organizer

 * If an event is canceled, the **organizer is solely responsible** for informing
   ticket holders via email, SMS, or other means
 * Refunds for such events are processed **as per the event organizer’s cancellation
   and refund policy**
 * **Chandigarh Life does not issue refunds directly**
 * We recommend reviewing the **organizer’s terms and conditions** before making
   a purchase

### 1.2 User-Initiated Cancellations

 * Tickets purchased on Chandigarh Life are **generally non-cancellable**, unless
   the event organizer specifies otherwise
 * If an event allows cancellations, the option will be clearly visible at the time
   of ticket purchase
 * All cancellation requests must comply with the specific **event cancellation 
   and refund policy** set by the organizer

### 1.3 Postponed or Rescheduled Events

 * If an event is rescheduled, **existing tickets remain valid** for the new date
   and time
 * The organizer will notify users about the updated details
 * Refund eligibility for rescheduled events depends entirely on the **organizer’s
   refund policy**

## 2. Refund Policy

### 2.1 Refund Eligibility

A user may be eligible for a refund under the following scenarios:

 * The event is canceled by the organizer
 * The event allows user-initiated cancellations and the request is made in time
 * The event is rescheduled and the organizer permits refunds in such cases

**All refunds are subject to the approval of the event organizer.**

### 2.2 Refund Timeline

Once a refund request is approved:

 * **Initiation by Chandigarh Life:** 2–3 working days
 * **Bank Processing Time:** 5–7 additional working days (depending on payment method)
 * Refunds will be processed to the **original payment method** used for booking

### 2.3 Non-Refundable Scenarios

Refunds will not be granted in the following situations:

 * The user fails to attend the event (no-show)
 * The ticket is purchased under a “non-refundable” policy set by the organizer
 * Errors in ticket booking details provided by the user (incorrect date, wrong 
   category, duplicate booking, etc.)
 * Requests made after the event has concluded

Users are advised to review event terms carefully before purchasing tickets.

## 3. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund:

 1. Contact the event organizer directly using the contact details in your ticket confirmation
    email
 2. Provide your Booking ID, Event Name, and reason for the refund request
 3. The organizer will validate your request and process it based on their own Cancellation
    and Refund Policy
 4. Chandigarh Life can assist in connecting you with the organizer but does not decide
    refund eligibility

## 4. Additional Fees

 * Any transaction fees or payment gateway charges incurred during ticket purchases
   are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise
 * Refunds will be issued only for the ticket amount, excluding service fees, taxes,
   and third-party processing charges (if applicable)

## 5. Force Majeure

Chandigarh Life is not responsible for cancellations or refunds caused by unforeseen
events, including but not limited to:

 * Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, etc.)
 * Government-imposed restrictions (curfews, lockdowns, or bans)
 * Technical failures (server downtime, cyberattacks, etc.)
 * Any other external factors beyond the control of the event organizer

The event organizer’s policy will dictate the refund process in such cases.
