Friday’s temperature promises some respite from the heat for Chandigarhdians. The morning looked promising as it began on a pleasant note with a light breeze and mild showers, promising us a good day! The day temperature rose from 32.1°C on Wednesday to 33.3°C on Thursday. The night temperature decreased from 19.2°C to 15.2°C. In the next three days, the maximum temperature will remain around 29°C, while the minimum temperature will hover approximately 16°C.”After experiencing record-breaking heat in February, we desperately needed a change in weather. Friday was such a relief! It was weird to switch on a/c in the car in the month of February”, said Palak, Mohali-based tech executive.

“A western disturbance is active in the region and may bring along rain up to 30mm, along with gusty winds and thunder. The rain will stop on Saturday but may resume on Sunday due to the same system of western disturbances. After that, maximum temperature may drop below 30°C,” said an official at the India Meteorological Department. Chandigarh in March is experiencing temperatures as low as 14°C and high of 28°C. You can expect rain for roughly half of the month of March in Chandigarh. So, your rubber boots and umbrella are going to see plenty of use this month if you’re keen on staying dry. Either way, it is recommended to check the exact weather forecast for Chandigarh before heading out, as the weather forecast becomes more accurate closer to the checked date.
