It says the shoes of some 500 martyrs are on display. Wikipedia links the shrine to Baba Hanuman Singh, a Nihang Sikh leader who, according to its article, was badly wounded and died at the battle of Sohana, Mohali, aged 90. It gives his years as November 1755 to January 1846. Its Mohali article says he died here with 500 Sikhs in a battle against British forces during the Anglo- Sikh Wars. Visitors follow the usual gurdwara rules: shoes off and head covered.
