**Quick answer:** PGI Chandigarh (PGIMER) does not take online appointments with
a chosen doctor. What you can do online is a free **Online Pre-Registration** for
a department on [pgimer.edu.in](https://pgimer.edu.in/). You get a Pre-Registration
Number, which you show at the registration counter on your chosen date: **8:00 to
11:00 AM, Monday to Friday**, or **8:00 to 10:30 AM on Saturdays and gazetted holidays**.

    is optional.

so take a photo or printout of the final screen.

counter hours. You get an OPD card with a permanent CR number, which you use for
every later visit to any PGI department.

## FAQs

No. Online pre-registration is for a department only, not for a particular consultant
or unit. Check the OPD schedule on pgimer.edu.in to see which unit sits on which
day.

### Is there a fee to book a PGI appointment online?

Online pre-registration is free and has no payment step. Any registration charge
is paid at the hospital counter. If you are not a paying patient, bring the relevant
proof.

### How far ahead can I book?

Up to 30 days before your visit, and until 6:00 AM on the day of the visit. The
number is valid only for the date you chose.

### What if I miss my date?

Your pre-registration lapses and your details are deleted. You need to pre-register
again for a new date.

### How do I see my PGI lab reports online?

Go to Lab Reports on pgimer.edu.in, enter your CR number, generate an OTP on your
registered mobile and enter it. Reports from the last 30 days can be viewed for
OPD tests in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Endocrinology, Parasitology and Virology.
