He waved the green flag to start the bus on its very first trip. This bus is run by the Chandigarh Transport Undertaking, which is like the city’s own bus company.

The bus will travel a long way, about 947 kilometres, which takes around 19 hours. It starts from a place called Interstate Bus Terminus in Chandigarh, goes through Delhi, and stops at a few places before reaching Ayodhya. People need to pay Rs 1,706 to ride from one end to the other.

Every day, the bus leaves Chandigarh at 1.30 PM in the afternoon and gets to Ayodhya the next morning at 8:30 AM. From Ayodhya, it heads back at 4:30 PM in the afternoon and reaches Chandigarh the next day at a little after 11 in the morning.
