Dussehra in Panchkula 2024: The Biggest Ravan in Tricity!

Biggest Ravan in Panckhula

Panchkula is about to witness something truly remarkable this Dussehra! Imagine a 180-foot-tall Ravan effigy, towering above you, ready to burn in a spectacular display of tradition and celebration. This year, Panchkula will host the biggest Ravan effigy ever seen in the Tricity. And believe me, it’s something you won’t want to miss!

A Grand Effigy Like No Other

Creating such a massive structure is no easy task. It has taken 40 quintals of steel, 600 bamboos, and 4000 feet of cloth to build. That’s not all! There’s also 3000 feet of mat, 600 kilograms of paper, and 1.5 quintals of fiberglass used to shape this giant.

Every inch of this effigy speaks of hard work and dedication. All this effort for a single moment—when Ravan meets his fiery end.

Meet the Mastermind: Tejinder Chauhan

Behind this awe-inspiring creation is Tejinder Chauhan, a resident of Barara, Ambala. He isn’t just the man behind the effigy. He’s also a state-level kabaddi player! Tejinder is known across the region for crafting some of the tallest Ravan effigies in India. And this year, he’s brought his talent to Panchkula.

Tejinder doesn’t just build effigies; he tells a story with them. His work embodies the spirit of Dussehra—the victory of good over evil.

Fireworks and Flames: A Spectacle in Ten Stages

This is not just any Dussehra. The burning of the Ravan effigy will happen in ten stages, with remote-controlled explosions. You’ll watch as the 180-foot figure burns, little by little, with sparks flying high into the night. It’ll take around ten minutes for the entire structure to collapse into ashes.

This isn’t just fire—it’s tradition. It’s storytelling. It’s a visual journey that you need to experience in person.

Where Will It Happen?

The grand event is taking place at the Shalimar Ground, Sector 5, Panchkula. This is the place to be if you want to witness the biggest Ravan effigy in the Tricity. People from all over the region will gather here to celebrate Dussehra together.

Why This Dussehra Is Special

This year is different. It’s bigger, better, and more exciting. Here’s why:

  • It’s the biggest Ravan effigy in the region, standing at an incredible 180 feet.
  • The burning is done in stages, with carefully planned explosions that keep you glued to the spectacle.
  • It’s crafted using massive amounts of materials—40 quintals of steel, 600 bamboos, and so much more.

This isn’t just any Dussehra. It’s a celebration that symbolizes strength, perseverance, and victory. It’s a tribute to the spirit of good conquering evil.
