Chandigarh Life:- Cancellation and Refund Policy

At Chandigarh Life, operated by Sogrow Ventures Private Limited, we provide a platform for event organizers to list and sell tickets. All cancellations and refunds are managed by the respective event organizers, and Chandigarh Life does not process refunds directly. This policy outlines general guidelines for cancellations and refunds.


1. Cancellation Policy

  1.1 Event Cancellation by Organizer

 During an event cancellation, the event organizer will be responsible for informing ticket holders via Email, SMS, or other communication channels.

    • If an event is canceled, ticket holders will be notified promptly.
    • Refunds for canceled events are subject to the organizer’s cancellation and refund policy.
    • Chandigarh Life is not responsible for issuing refunds for event cancellations.
    • Users should refer to the event organizer’s terms and conditions regarding cancellations before purchasing.

1.2 User-Initiated Cancellations

Tickets purchased through Chandigarh Life are generally non-cancellable unless otherwise specified by the event organizer.

    • Some events may offer cancellation and refund options at the organizer’s discretion.
    • If an event allows cancellations, the terms will be displayed during ticket purchases.
    • Users should review the event cancellation policy before purchasing a ticket.

 1.3 Postponed or Rescheduled Events

  • If an event is postponed or rescheduled, the tickets remain valid for the new date and time.
    • The event organizer is responsible for notifying ticket holders about the rescheduling details.
    • Refunds for rescheduled events, if applicable, are at the discretion of the organizer.
    • Users should check with the event organizer for further details regarding postponement policies.

 2. Refund Policy

  2.1 Refund Eligibility

A refund request may be considered under the following conditions:

✔ The organizer has canceled the event.

✔ The user has validly canceled a ticket for an event that allows cancellations.

✔ If the event has been rescheduled, the organizer will outline the refund policy.

If a user is eligible for a refund, the event organizer will handle the refund process according to their policy.

  2.2 Refund Timeline

If the event organizer approves a refund, the processing timeline is as follows:

    • Refund Processing Time: Once the organizer approves a refund request, Chandigarh Life will initiate the refund within 2–3 working days.
    • Bank Account Credit: Depending on the payment provider or bank, the refund may take 5–7 additional working days to reflect in the customer’s bank account.
    • Refunds are processed using the original payment method used for ticket purchase.

  2.3 Non-Refundable Scenarios

Refunds will not be granted in the following situations:

❌ The user fails to attend the event (No-show).

❌ The ticket is purchased under a “non-refundable” policy set by the organizer.

❌ Errors in ticket booking details provided by the user (incorrect date, wrong category, duplicate booking, etc.).

❌ Requests made after the event has concluded.

Users are advised to review event terms carefully before purchasing tickets.


  3. How to Request a Refund

  • Contact the event organizer directly using the details in the event confirmation email.
  • Provide the Booking ID, Event Name, and reason for the refund request.
  • The event organizer will verify the request and process the refund per their policy.
  • If the organizer approves the refund, it will be processed within the stated timeline.

For any assistance in reaching an event organizer, Chandigarh Life can help facilitate communication. However, we do not process refunds directly.


  4. Additional Fees

  • Any transaction fees or payment gateway charges incurred during ticket purchases are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Refunds will be issued only for the ticket amount, excluding service fees, taxes, and third-party processing charges (if applicable).

  5. Force Majeure Clause

Chandigarh Life is not responsible for cancellations or refunds caused by unforeseen events, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, etc.)
  • Government-imposed restrictions (curfews, lockdowns, or bans)
  • Technical failures (server downtime, cyberattacks, etc.)
  • Any other external factors beyond the control of the event organizer

The event organizer’s policy will dictate the refund process in such cases.
