Dbels Signs MoU with Startup Haryana, Giving School Students Direct Access to the State’s Entrepreneurship Ecosystem
Partnership with Government of Haryana opens mentorship, incubation, and co-working pathways
Dass and Brown Experiential Learning School (Dbels), the tricity’s first Experiential Learning and Entrepreneurship K-12 school with a focus on AI and STREAM, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Startup Haryana, the nodal agency of the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Haryana. The agreement was signed on 10 March 2026 at the MSME office by Dr Yash Garg IAS, Director General, MSME, Government of Haryana, and Nitin Bansal, Chief Technology Officer, Startup Haryana, alongside Ms Anju Mehta, Principal, Dbels.

The partnership opens a significant new pathway for Dbels students, who will now have direct access to the state’s formal start-up ecosystem. Young founders emerging from the school’s entrepreneurship programme will be able to register with Startup Haryana and seriously pursue their ventures, backed by government support, mentorship, and incubation resources at an age when most students are only beginning to think about career options.
Under the MoU, Dbels will extend mentorship, marketing guidance, and incubation support to start-ups registered with Startup Haryana, free of charge. As a distinctive commitment to women’s entrepreneurship, the school will offer two complimentary co-working seats to women entrepreneurs who are mothers, upon the formal launch of its co-working space.
The signing builds upon an existing relationship between the two institutions. In February 2026, Startup Haryana conducted a sensitisation and awareness workshop on fiscal schemes available for incubators under the Haryana State Startup Policy 2022, choosing the Dbels campus as the venue. Representatives from leading educational institutions across Panchkula attended the session, which covered eligibility criteria, application procedures, and the broader objectives of strengthening the incubation ecosystem in Haryana.

Dr Gopan Gopalakrishnan, Deputy CEO, Dbels, said at the time: “Hosting this workshop aligns with our mission of fostering entrepreneurial thinking from an early age. We are pleased that Startup Haryana chose our institution as the venue to engage Panchkula’s academic community on these critical policy initiatives.”
Dbels integrates the Cambridge International curriculum with Finnish Early Years methodology and a dedicated Experiential Learning stream, and is among the few schools in India to embed artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship education into daily classroom practice from Grade 1 onwards. The school operates under the aegis of the DCM Group of Schools, founded in 1946.
Speaking at the MoU signing, Ms Anju Mehta described the partnership as a natural extension of the school’s founding philosophy: “Entrepreneurship is not a subject we teach; it is a way of thinking we cultivate.”
The MoU reflects a shared commitment between the Government of Haryana and Dbels to build a pipeline of innovation-ready young minds within the state. Dbels is now a registered ecosystem partner with Startup Haryana, further consolidating its position as the tricity’s leading institution for entrepreneurship education in the K-12 segment.
