The SAS Nagar district website describes Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan as a historical shrine made in remembrance of the martyrs of the Anglo-Sikh wars. It says the shoes of some 500 martyrs are on display.
Wikipedia links the shrine to Baba Hanuman Singh, a Nihang Sikh leader who, according to its article, was badly wounded and died at the battle of Sohana, Mohali, aged 90.
